The Kennel

Welcome to our updated web site, (January 2003).

We are a small and still young kennel (not necessarily true of ourselves though!) found in Ashburton in the middle of the South Island of New Zealand. We have bred few litters from which we have kept and campaigned our first homebred champions - Bairal Genesis Project (Genie) and Bairal Reason To Believe (Maddie). We are now campaigning a new puppy from Maddie's first litter - Bairal One Good Reason (Lina).

Our kennel name comes from the first three letters of our first two beagles names - Bailey (Harken Little Drummer) & Ralph (Ch Huntingdale Springtime). Sadly for us Bailey recently left us.

Bill and I have only been involved with dogs for just over 14 years when we lived in Invercargill, Southland and became actively involved in showing after purchasing our second beagle, Ralph in 1992. Prior to that we had undertaken obedience but were limited with our success as our dog would not retrieve!

We have been involved with all breed dog clubs in Southland and Ashburton and with our breed and hound clubs in the South Island. To find out more about Beagles check out our information page or further information can be gained through some of the sites we have listed on our Related Links page.
